YOUTH TRIP TO EL SALVADOR CAN USE SOME DONATIONS....

Dear Friends, 


On June 12, 2012 I will be taking a group of teenage boys and their parents on a mission trip to El Salvador.  The purpose of the trip is two-fold, first it is meant to encourage our teens to interact with other teenagers in El Salvador for the purposes of learning each other's cultures as well as to breakdown language, social, and economic barriers; and second, it is to work side by side with one another while we renovate a VERY dilapidated school.  In addition to the physical work, the kids will also organize a community meal where we will serve approximately 400 of the most extremely poor people.  


Below are a few pictures of the school we will renovate.  If you would like to help, we welcome your contributions! We are collecting the following items:  school supplies, drawstring gym bags, soccer shoes, socks and underwear, reading glasses, and sunglasses.  You can drop off your donation at the Twinsburg Library during regular business hours, or call Joyce at 440-552-9008.

Donate a Family Stone Tile to the Church in El Salvador

In addition to supporting the annual charity golf outing on September 10th, you can purchase a hand made, individually designed 12" x 12" family stone which will be mounted on the alter in San Pedro Church in Teotepeque, El Salvador.

These stones are crafted by a wonderful artist (pictured below) specifically for you. You can purchase one in memory of a loved one who has died, your family, or dedicate a tile to someone you love.  Below are a few examples.  St. Rita Church in Solon, OH purchased a tile and dedicated it to the kind folks who live in the poor community.  I dedicated a tile to my family, and Fr. Michael Stalla purchased a tile to dedicate to his parents for the all their love and support of his ministry.

The tiles can be purchased for $200 each.  Each one will be uniquely designed and hand-laid out of stone in a mosaic style.  Your tile can be made for a donation of $200 payable to Swing into Action.  Include an 8-10 word dedication, your name, address, and phone number and send to:
